Are You Ready to Downsize

Over the years wheelchairs have gone through a lot of changes. They’ve been re engineered stronger, lighter, designed to maneuver in tighter spaces (32″ turning radius) and easier to store when not in use.

So, are you ready to downsize to a lightweight folding power wheelchair from that tank you are sitting in?

Today we are going to look at the Forcemech Voyager R2 and I must say it is impressive.

Power Wheelchair: Forcemech Voyager R2

Price: $2198.00

Where to purchase: Amazon

Forcemech is a company right here in the US dedicated to having the best mobility products on the market today. Excellent warranty with one year on the batteries and controller, two years on the motors and five years on chair and frame.

Weight capacity is 265 pounds and easily supported with a super light metal alloy frame.

This unit is direct drive with the motors mounted on the rear wheels.

Two, 200 hundred watt brushless motors powered by two 6.6h lithium batteries will carry this unit 16 miles on a full charge.

Shock absorbing springs and polyurethane wheels provide a more comfortable ride and safety features include the bright yellow paint and rear reflective lights.

This is the latest in technology and FDA approved so grab your bags and book your reservations with an airline for an exotic cruise. If you are ready for a vacation this little guy will give you the freedom to do so.

This unit is built to run on hard surfaces with travel speed at around 4 mph, but do not venture onto the beach or you may have to call a tow truck to get you back to solid ground.

What I Don’t Like About the Voyager R2

Price is at the lower end of the scale for this type of chair, but still a little pricey. Whoever said, freedom was free, didn’t know what they were talking about.

Consumer complaints of unit popping open at inopportune times (earlier models) however Forcemech has added a locking mechanism to address this problem.

Controller is sensitive so it takes some getting use to. Your first test drive may feel like you are a bull in a china shop, so you might want to take it outside.

Battery connections comes lose easily so always double check the connecting before jumping on.

Bottom Line

There are Pros and Cons to every product on the market today and in my opinion, this one is a great choice.

I could carry on and on about how great this unit is but in the end ask yourself these questions.

Will this give me more mobility?

Can I afford it?

If you answered yes to these questions then my question to you is what are you waiting for? By it now.
